Acceptable Use Policy
This Policy applies to all Connect accounts, organisations, profiles, content, links, cards, bookings, payments, messages and technical access.
1. Use Connect lawfully and honestly
- Do not impersonate another person or organisation, misstate qualifications, publish deceptive contact details, or use a card or link to create a false affiliation.
- Do not publish or facilitate unlawful, fraudulent, defamatory, threatening, exploitative, discriminatory or abusive material.
- Do not infringe intellectual property, privacy, publicity, confidentiality or other rights.
- Do not collect, expose or sell personal information without authority and an appropriate lawful purpose.
- Do not offer prohibited goods or services or use bookings and payments to conceal unlawful activity.
- Do not create or arrange fake reviews if Connect introduces reviews or ratings.
2. Protect people and systems
- Do not probe, scan, exploit or bypass authentication, visibility, rate limits, entitlements or other security controls.
- Do not introduce malware, malicious redirects, credential-harvesting pages, automated scraping, denial-of-service traffic or code intended to damage the service or another device.
- Do not obtain or use another person’s password, secure profile link, booking-management token, card identifier or payment credential without authority.
- Do not interfere with another account, card assignment, booking, subscription, payment or transaction record.
- Use reasonable safeguards for credentials, administrator access, API or provider secrets and devices used to manage Connect.
3. No spam or unwanted exploitation
Do not use profile, booking or payment data to send unsolicited bulk messages, scrape contact lists, pressure customers, or market unrelated services without an appropriate lawful basis. Operational booking details must be used only for the booking and legitimate associated duties unless the person has separately agreed to another use.
Links and calls to action must accurately describe their destination. Do not disguise downloads, payment destinations or data collection.
4. Bookings and payments
- Describe services, prices, deposits, availability and important conditions accurately.
- Do not manipulate availability, create sham bookings, test stolen payment credentials, split transactions to avoid controls, or misuse refund and dispute systems.
- Provide booked services with reasonable care and communicate cancellations, delays and refunds fairly.
- Use only a payment account you are authorised to connect and keep provider credentials current and confidential.
5. Reporting and enforcement
Report suspected misuse through the Complaints Procedure with the profile address, card or booking reference and supporting detail. Do not endanger yourself to collect evidence.
Chibara may investigate, preserve relevant records, remove content, disable a card, restrict a feature, suspend an account, reverse an unauthorised configuration or notify an affected provider or lawful authority. Action will be proportionate to the apparent risk where reasonably possible, but urgent threats may require immediate restriction.
Attempts to evade an enforcement action through another account, profile or card are themselves a violation. A person who believes action was mistaken may use the Complaints Procedure.
