1. What cookies are

Cookies are small values a website asks a browser to store and return. Similar technologies include local storage, session storage and security tokens. They can remember a session, preference or technical state between requests.

2. Essential storage used by Connect

These values are necessary to provide a feature requested by the user or keep the service secure. Blocking them may prevent sign-in, checkout, profile management or other functions from working.

  • Authentication and session values that keep an account signed in and direct the user to authorised areas.
  • Security and request-integrity values used to prevent abuse, verify a sign-in flow and protect forms.
  • Short-lived transaction or navigation state used to complete checkout, social sign-in or another requested workflow.
  • Necessary preferences that make the service operate consistently on the user’s device.

3. Third-party services

When you choose a hosted payment or social sign-in flow, the payment or authentication provider may set its own cookies on its website or domain. Its privacy and cookie notices govern that storage. Connect receives the account or transaction result needed to complete the requested flow, not the provider’s entire cookie history.

Embedded or linked third-party content may also apply its own storage when opened. A normal link does not mean Chibara controls the destination’s cookies.

4. Analytics and advertising

Connect does not use this Policy as permission for undisclosed advertising tracking. If optional analytics, advertising or cross-site tracking is introduced, we will update this Policy and add an appropriate consent or preference control where law requires it.

Operational event records such as profile opens, NFC taps, QR visits and contact downloads may be recorded on Connect’s servers as described in the Privacy Policy. Not every server event uses a browser cookie.

5. Your controls

Most browsers let you view, delete or block cookies and clear site storage. Browser help settings explain the available controls. Clearing essential storage may sign you out, interrupt a pending transaction or reset a preference.

Use the privacy contact channel if you have a question about a specific Connect cookie or similar technology. Include the browser, device and cookie name if known, but do not send authentication token values.

6. Changes

The current version and update date appear above. We will revise this Policy when material cookie or storage practices change.

Nothing in this policy limits rights or remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.
