1. Who provides what

The profile owner is responsible for the advertised service, description, suitability, price, availability, delivery, customer communication and service-specific terms. Chibara provides Connect’s technical booking record, availability checks, messages and integration with a supported hosted payment provider.

Unless a booking expressly identifies Chibara as the provider, Chibara is not the service provider, employer, agent or professional adviser of the profile owner. Connect does not endorse or independently verify every service, qualification or claim published on a profile.

2. Before you book or pay

  • Review the profile owner’s identity, service description, date, time, location or delivery method, price and amount due now.
  • Ask the profile owner about any important service requirement, cancellation condition, deposit rule or refund term not shown in the flow.
  • Provide accurate contact details so the profile owner and Connect can send confirmation and service messages.
  • Do not include unnecessary sensitive information in the free-text note.

3. Booking confirmation and availability

Connect rechecks the selected slot when the booking is submitted. A displayed slot is not reserved indefinitely. A pay-later booking is confirmed when the system creates a confirmed booking record. A booking requiring online payment is confirmed only after trusted payment verification succeeds, unless the confirmation states otherwise.

A confirmation message or management link contains the booking reference and current status. Keep the management link secure because a person who has it may be able to view, cancel or reschedule the booking.

Technical delay, concurrent booking, payment timeout or provider failure may prevent confirmation. If you are charged but do not receive a confirmed booking, contact the profile owner and Connect with the transaction reference; do not repeat payment until status is checked.

4. Payments and settlement

Online payment is entered on the hosted page of the payment provider named in the flow. Connect sends transaction details needed to initiate checkout and later verifies the provider result. Connect does not store raw card numbers, expiry dates or CVV codes.

The connected payment account belongs to the profile owner, and funds settle according to that provider relationship. The profile owner is responsible for issuing any service invoice or receipt required of them, taxes on their service, fulfilment and authorised refunds. Provider availability, processing and dispute rules also apply.

A deposit is part-payment toward the service unless the profile owner discloses another lawful arrangement. Any remaining balance and payment method should be agreed directly with the profile owner.

5. Cancellations, rescheduling and refunds

Use the booking management link where available. The profile owner’s configured notice period and slot availability determine whether the tool can accept a cancellation or reschedule request. Contact the profile owner if the option is unavailable or the service is close to starting.

The profile owner decides service-related refunds, subject to applicable law and the terms disclosed for the service. Connect can assist with technical records but cannot promise a refund from the profile owner’s account. A payment provider dispute process may be available separately.

6. Personal information and communications

Booking details are shared with the profile owner so they can deliver the service. Chibara uses the details to operate the booking, verify payment, prevent abuse, send operational messages and provide support. The profile owner may process the same information independently for fulfilment, accounting or legal duties.

The Privacy Policy explains Connect’s processing. Ask the profile owner about any separate use, retention or marketing. Booking contact details must not be used for unrelated marketing without a lawful basis.

7. Problems and disputes

Raise service-quality, non-attendance, cancellation and refund issues with the profile owner first. For a technical booking or payment-status problem, contact Connect with the booking and transaction references. We may share relevant records with the parties or provider to investigate.

Nothing in these terms limits non-excludable consumer rights. Use the Complaints Procedure if the issue concerns Connect’s platform conduct or remains unresolved after reasonable first contact.

Nothing in this policy limits rights or remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.
